Food Preservation Instructions - Copper Sulfate Pentahydrate

VEGETABLES, FRUIT, FISH and SEAFOOD:
Washed in a dilution of 1 gallon to 60,000 gallons of water or 2 drops to each one gallon of wash or rinse water will be sufficient to preserve the food. This mix is especially formulated to dissolve and remove contaminants from fruits and vegetables. Washes away pesticide residue, and kills harmful algae and bacteria. This wash will extend the shelf life of most treated foods for at least 2-3 times its normal shelf life.

Swimming Pool Magic should not be used on wheat, flours, etc., as it will retard the growth of bacteria needed to make bread, pastries, etc.

Swimming Pool Magic is produced from all food grade ingredients and when used in according to label directions is nontoxic to human life. The following ratios of

Swimming Pool Magic to rinse water should be followed for industrial use:
1) gallon Swimming Pool Magic to 30,000 to 60,000 gallons of water
2) quart Swimming Pool Magic to 7,500 to 15,000 gallons of water
3) ounce Swimming Pool Magic to 240 to 500 gallons of water

It is always best to add the Swimming Pool Magic into the water prior to rinsing. When washing, remove all dirt and contaminates that may inhibit the product to come in contract with all surfaces including any bruised areas, stem holes, cracks, etc. Do not wash after applying Swimming Pool Magic. Where rinsing is possible, a secondary application procedure that is far less beneficial is to spray a dilution over all available surfaces. Freezing foods after Swimming Pool Magic has been applied will not destroy its effectiveness.

Home Use:

The same procedure should be followed for home use as for industrial application. Three drops of Swimming Pool Magic to one gallon rinse water. Thoroughly clean, then rinse all fruits, vegetables, fish and seafood before refrigeration.

Application Equipment:
All vats, containers, pumps and plumbing used for handling the concentrated Swimming Pool Magic should always be constructed of stainless steel, PVD, fiberglass, polypropylene and most plastics. Once Swimming Pool Magic has been diluted to a rinse solution, almost any material will be suitable.

Caution should be taken when Swimming Pool Magic is used in applications of equipment that have ozone generators in use.

Ozone generators will reverse the polarity of Swimming Pool Magic, thereby breaking it's chleation bond. This will allow the copper within the Swimming Pool Magic to settle to the bottom and lose most of it's effectiveness.

HOW LONG WILL THIS TREATED FOOD LAST?
As the food is rinsed according to labeled applications procedures, a microscopic film of Swimming Pool Magic will surround and be present wherever the water preserver combination comes in contact with the food. This microscopic film will provide a long term preserving effect until enough enzymes are allowed to come in contact with and consume all of this microscopic film of the preserver. As the enzymes consume this molecular film, then the new bacteria, fungi, mold and algae will reappear and destroy the fruits, vegetables, fish and seafood. With Swimming Pool Magic, refrigeration is necessary to control dehydration, as well as the amount of new enzymes coming in contact with the treated food.

Economical Advantages:

The economics of using the Swimming Pool Magic program can not be accurately measured. If there was a chemical cost comparison, comparing chemical for chemical, the cost would be approximately the same. Considering the toxicity comparison, the lesser refrigeration requirements, the prolonged shelf life of the food, higher quality ripened foods, the cost of Swimming Pool Magic is hardly measurable to the results of other processing aids.

Swimming Pool Magic has an indefinite shelf life as long as it is protected from freezing and electrical charges (such as ozone generating equipment).
